LovOn is a private couple space app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using LovOn.

Information We Collect

We collect information only as needed to provide and improve LovOn.

Account and device session information

• Installation identifier
• Platform and device name
• App session token
• Push notification device token, if push notifications are enabled

LovOn currently uses a lightweight app session so you can use the app without creating a public profile or social account.

Profile information

• Nickname
• Avatar image or avatar path
• Gender selection
• Relationship anniversary date
• Time zone

This information is used to set up your couple space and display your profile to your matched partner.

Couple space information

• Invite code status
• Couple space membership
• Join and unbind status
• Daily check-in records
• Love days

This information is used to create, maintain, and display your private couple space.

Location information

If you grant location permission, LovOn may collect:

• Latitude and longitude
• Location accuracy
• Capture time
• Approximate distance between you and your matched partner
• Stay duration information derived from your shared location

Location sharing is used only to show couple distance and related location status inside your matched couple space. Location access is optional and can be changed in iOS Settings at any time.

Health information

If you grant HealthKit permission, LovOn may read selected HealthKit data and create a simple daily summary, such as:

• Steps
• Heart rate
• Sleep duration
• Heart rate variability

Health information is optional and is used only to display a simple health summary to you and your matched partner inside the couple space. LovOn does not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, profiling, data mining, medical diagnosis, treatment, or insurance purposes. LovOn does not write data to HealthKit.

Device status information

LovOn may collect simple device status information to support the couple status card, such as:

• Battery level
• Charging status
• Network type
• Wi-Fi name, when available and permitted by iOS
• Last online time

This information is visible only within your matched couple space.

Messages and user content

When you use private chat or check-in features, LovOn processes:

• Text messages
• Message type
• Message timestamps
• Check-in messages

Messages are used to provide the private couple chat experience.

Photos and camera

If you choose to update your avatar, LovOn may request access to your photo library or camera. Photos are used only for the avatar feature you choose to use.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create and maintain your app session
• Create, join, and manage couple spaces
• Display your profile, love days, check-ins, and widgets
• Provide optional couple distance sharing after location permission
• Provide optional HealthKit summary sharing after HealthKit permission
• Send and receive private couple messages
• Maintain app security, prevent abuse, and fix technical issues
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use sensitive information such as HealthKit data or precise location for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Sharing of Information

LovOn is designed for a matched couple space. Certain information may be visible to your matched partner, including your profile, shared distance/location status, optional health summary, device status, check-ins, widgets, and messages.

We may also share limited information with service providers that help us operate the app, such as cloud hosting, database, map, and push notification providers. These providers are required to protect information and process it only for app operation.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or LovOn.

Third-Party Services

LovOn may use third-party services including:

• Apple system services, such as HealthKit, WidgetKit, Keychain, and push notification infrastructure
• Map services, such as Google Maps or Apple MapKit fallback
• Supabase or similar backend infrastructure for app data storage and API services

Third-party services may process information according to their own privacy terms when their services are used.

HealthKit Data

HealthKit access is optional and controlled by iOS permission settings. LovOn reads only the HealthKit categories you authorize. LovOn does not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or medical purposes, and does not sell HealthKit data.

LovOn is not a medical or health care provider. Health summaries shown in the app are for personal awareness and relationship context only and should not be used for medical decisions.

Location Choices

You can allow or deny location access through iOS Settings. If you turn off location permission, location sharing and distance features may not work. You may also unbind your couple space if you no longer want to share couple space information with your partner.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep information only for as long as needed to provide LovOn, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security.

You may request deletion of your information by contacting us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your request before deletion. Some information may be retained for a limited period if required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or backup integrity.

Unbinding a couple space disconnects the current couple relationship in the app. It may not immediately delete all historical records unless you also request account/data deletion.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including session tokens, access control, server-side validation, and restricted database access patterns. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

LovOn is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to LovOn, please contact us at [email protected] so we can take appropriate action.

International Users

Your information may be processed in countries or regions other than where you live. By using LovOn, you understand that information may be transferred and processed as needed to operate the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice as required by applicable law.
